What we experienced yesterday was terrifying, tragic and we are still processing it all. We want to extend our most heartfelt prayers to those affected by this personally. It’s impossible to know how we will react to chaos. After a few members of the public took shelter in our basement, which is cramped and contains industrial equipment, we attempted to move everyone into our next door space before we could ask them to leave as police instructed us to do. This situation was traumatic  - witnessing the victims outside our restaurant is not something anyone is prepared for. In hindsight, we perhaps could have done better, but the reality is that we were also TERRIFIED. We were processing things in real time, taking care of ourselves as well as taking care of our staff and patrons. Love and prayers to our whole St. Clair West Community and the affected families. Let’s fight violence with love. We are all in this together. We will come back stronger ❤️
